Shipping & Delivery Policy

Online Car Parts (Pty) Ltd is committed to fast, reliable, and transparent delivery across South Africa and neighbouring regions. This policy explains how dispatch, delivery, and exceptions are handled.

Dispatch & Processing

Dispatch Rules
  • Orders are processed within 2 business days after cleared payment.
  • EFT payments: goods are released only once funds clear in our account (proof of payment alone is not sufficient).
  • Payments received before 10am may be dispatched the same day, excluding special orders or out-of-stock items.

Delivery Options

  • Overnight Express: Major metros, next business day (best effort, not guaranteed).
  • Regional: ±2–3 business days (50–100 km from metros).
  • Remote: ±3–7 business days (100 km+ from metros).
  • Economy Freight: 2–7 days for heavy or bulky items (engines, gearboxes, body panels).
  • Courier Depot Collection: Urgent orders may be collected from courier depots such as Courier Guy, often reducing delivery costs.

Free Delivery

  • Orders over R950 qualify for free delivery in major metropolitan areas.
  • Bulky items such as engines, cylinder heads and body panels do not qualify.
  • For urgent orders, delivery method selection remains at our discretion unless confirmed with a consultant.

Surcharges & Exclusions

  • Special access sites (farms, mines, universities, game reserves, power stations) may attract additional fees.
  • Weekend and public holiday deliveries are available by special arrangement only.
  • International deliveries are excluded but may be quoted on request.
  • Customers may arrange their own courier by prior agreement.

Customer Responsibilities

Important Inspection Notice

Customers must inspect goods at delivery in the presence of the courier. Visible damage must be noted with the driver and photographed immediately.

  • Ensure someone is available to sign for delivery.
  • Goods are packaged with reasonable protection, but inspection at delivery is essential.
  • Courier companies rely on packaging condition and delivery signatures to validate claims.
  • Claims may be repudiated if damage is not recorded at delivery.
  • Visible damage must be reported with photos within 24–48 hours.
  • Redelivery fees may apply if addresses are incorrect or delivery attempts fail.

Delays & Disclaimers

  • Overnight Express is a best-effort service and may be delayed due to courier-side issues beyond our control.
  • Remote areas may have fixed delivery days or third-party handovers beyond our control.
  • Public holidays will delay dispatch and delivery.
  • Stock discrepancies may occur; refunds are processed if sourcing exceeds a reasonable timeframe.
