Fitment best practice

  • Always fit new pads with new discs to prevent glazing and uneven wear

  • Do not machine discs unless the manufacturer explicitly allows it

Do I have to replace pads with discs?
Yes, strongly recommended. Old pads can damage fresh rotors and reduce braking performance.

Drilled vs slotted vs plain—what’s best?
Plain is ideal for daily driving. Slotted helps shed gas and dust. Drilled improves cooling on performance cars but may be noisier.

Why do discs warp?
Heat imbalance, contaminated hub faces, incorrect torque, or poor quality components. Proper prep and torque prevent most issues.

How long do discs last?
Typically 40,000–80,000 km depending on driving style, loads and terrain. Inspect thickness and runout during services.

Can I DIY?
Yes if you have the right tools and torque specs. Otherwise use a professional fitment centre for safety and warranty protection.
