Description

A Concentric Slave Cylinder or CSC as it is commonly known is basically a modern replacement for the conventional Clutch Release Bearing and Clutch Slave Cylinder. The CSC combines these two units and is fitted around the gearbox shaft. The CSC connects to the clutch master cylinder via a hydraulic hose.

The CSC operates immediately in line with the clutch pressure plate and allows hydraulic pressure to be transmitted to the clutch through the clutch master cylinder and then the clutch concentric slave cylinder. The advantage of using a concentric slave cylinder is that less pressure is required from the clutch pedal, and it eliminates the possibility of the traditional problems associated with excessive bearing travel due to normal wear and tear with the old link or cable systems and is a self-adjusting system, it can help prolong the life of the clutch.

Defective Symptoms

You will usually get a few warning signs to tell you that something is wrong with your CSC before things get bad. If you notice any of these happening, you must take your car in for repairs as soon as possible to avoid extensive damage. This type of maintenance is considered critical.

• Switching gears is extremely difficult.
• Transmission fluid always needs a top-up.
• Signs of Transmission fluid leaking.
• The Clutch pedal sinks to the floor before working. Seals in the CSC are worn.
• The Clutch pedal feels abnormal.

Fitment can also be carried out by an accredited aftermarket repair centre, e.g. RMI accreditation or similar. Repair Technicians must have a qualification and training for the fitment of this specific product and use the correct equipment as specified by the Vehicle Manufacturer. This includes, but not limited to; torque settings, gaskets, specified lubricants, quality consumables, computer-aided settings, calibration settings, specified equipment and tools etc.…

This product has a 12 Month Warranty or 30 000km's for Passenger Vehicles and 12 Months or 20 000Km's for Commercial Vehicles; whichever occurs first. If there is a specific label on the product regarding warranty duration; that label will supersede this warranty.
