Installation best practice

  • Replace oil feed and return lines. Do not reuse sludge coated pipes or old seals
  • Flush lubrication system. New filter and manufacturer approved turbo rated oil
  • Flush cooling system. Radiator, heater circuit, thermostat or housing. Bleed correctly
  • Inspect intake and intercooler. Clear debris and oil, verify pressure integrity
  • Prime the turbo with clean oil and crank to build pressure before first fire
  • Initial run in. Idle, check pressure and leaks. Avoid load for the first 100 km
  • No hot shutdowns. Idle briefly before switching off to prevent heat soak

Replace if you notice

  • Whine or siren noise, slow spool, or low boost faults
  • Excess smoke, oil in intercooler, or boost leaks
  • Overheating under load. Possible cooling or VGT control issues

FAQs

Is this turbo plug and play?
No. Correct fitment needs new feed and return lines, system flushing, priming, and calibration for electronic actuators.

Do I need to flush the cooling system?
Yes. Blocked radiators or stuck thermostats cause heat soak and early failure. Use OEM approved coolant and deionised water.

Can I DIY the installation?
Not recommended. Incorrect procedures void warranty and often cause immediate bearing damage. Use a professional installer.

Which oil should I use?
Only manufacturer specified turbo rated oil with a quality filter. Replace both at installation and follow service intervals.

Do I need new gaskets and seals?
Yes. Always use new gaskets and O rings. Reusing old seals risks leaks and boost loss.

  • 12 month warranty against manufacturing defects
  • Warranty requires new oil feed and return lines, correct coolant, full system flush, and priming
  • Using tap water, mixed coolants, or skipping bleed procedures may void warranty
